After Cody on our way to Mt Rushmore we stopped in the town of Deadwood which got its name due to the amount of dead tress found in its gulch. Deadwood is best known for the murder of Wild Bill Hickok, and Mount Moriah Cemetery remains the final resting place of Hickok and Calamity Jane. Present Day, Deadwood centers around gambling. Not being big gamblers, we decided to get out to stretch our legs and visit the cemetery. The town is relatively new because it has burnt to the ground numerous times since its establishment.
