Chicago
June 29th, 2011
What more can we say, it’s Chicago. A world class city, the heart of the midwest and probably the most comforting part of the trip so far for Zach. Suits, beggars, tourists, foodies, traffic, shoppiing…and we didn’t even leave the loop.
We got a chance to walk the river front and chill out with Theo while watching boats cruise bye. The Taste of Chicago food festival was going on and that was pretty fun too, but not healthy in the least.
Our first night we ended up eating at the original Pizza Uno, which was heavy and greasy, but a Chicago tradition in pizza making for almost a hundred years. The second and last night was even more fun, where we got to eat great steaks and went out to a Jazz club. Later that night we stumbled upon an underground reggae bar by heading down some “back stairs” of a bar called The Poynt.
