In route to Yellowstone we decided to stop off in Butte which is an old mining town. A native Montanian told us that in Butte “When it goes down, it goes DOWN”. Butte was a boom town and it seemed that the only life found was in the form of casinos and antique shops. However, we enjoyed stretching our legs and seeing the old buildings.
